"Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us."

Welcome!
Since 2019, the annual review process has been my cherished December companion - a powerful ritual of reflection and intention-setting that marks each turn of the year.
This practice has taken on new depths in 2024. Through my work with Downshift, I've discovered the profound wisdom of intentionally slowing down during life's transitions and seasons. And as I've built my coaching practice, I've witnessed how creating space for mindfulness allows our deepest insights and truths to emerge naturally.
These experiences have inspired me to create something special: a 3-part workshop series that brings together the structured guidance of an annual review with the magic of collective reflection. In this intimate, communal setting, we'll create intentional pockets of spaciousness to honor the year past and envision the year ahead.
I invite you to join me on this journey of reflection, reset, and reorientation as we unfold into 2025. Together, we'll create the conditions for wisdom and clarity to emerge.
With warmth and anticipation, Matt Yao Your Guide

"The journey into self-love and self-acceptance must begin with self-examination... until you take the journey of self-reflection, it is almost impossible to grow or learn in life."

The Annual Review is more than just looking back at your year - it's an invitation to dive into self-discovery. When we slow down and make space for reflection, we open ourselves to possibilities that often stay hidden in our day-to-day rush. In this spaciousness, we can gently reorient, from goals and plans to intentions and commitments, and renew our way of being. This isn't about crafting the perfect strategy or setting ambitious targets. Instead, it's a chance to reconnect with who you are beneath the achievements and accolades, to explore that essential question: "Who are you becoming?" Through this lens, the annual review becomes a practice of remembering - remembering what truly matters, remembering your deeper truths, remembering the wisdom that already lives within you. When we approach the annual review as a practice of being rather than doing, of grounding rather than planning, something beautiful happens. As you sink into your essence, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised by what naturally emerges: a sense of clarity, a feeling of alignment, perhaps even a quiet peace that gently lights your path forward.
